As the Special Projects Manager,  Engineering & Technology (or right hand) to Zip’s CTO and our Engineering org, you'll play a pivotal role in driving organizational efficiency and strategic initiatives within the technology department. As a versatile utility player, you'll coordinate leadership meetings, manage small product-related projects, and facilitate effective communication within the organization. Your strong analytical skills will be utilized to conduct research for key projects, while your proficiency in deck creation will enable you to craft compelling presentations to support decision-making. With exceptional organizational abilities and a proactive problem-solving approach, you'll ensure smooth workflow and provide valuable support to the CTO, contributing to the overall success of Zip’s Engineering org. 

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve

  • Serve as the right-hand person to the CTO, functioning as a versatile utility player capable of running small product-related initiatives within the delivery framework
  • Coordinate leadership meetings and ensure effective communication within the organization by drafting communications and building presentations
  • Follow up on leadership action items, tracking progress and facilitating accountability across teams
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to conduct research on historical metrics within the organization, providing valuable insights to support decision-making
  • Act as a liaison between various teams, pulling together cross-functional groups to collaborate on projects and initiatives
  • Assist in managing key projects and initiatives within the technology department, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

What you’ll bring to the team 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus
  • Proven experience in an executive support role or administration role, preferably supporting C-suite executives or senior leadership
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in drafting communications and creating presentations in PowerPoint and/or Google Slides
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and build rapport to influence outcomes
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Confluence, and Zoom
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment in decision-making
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly adjust to changing priorities

The Pay Range for this position: $100,100 - $120,000 based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and Zip's compensation strategies. However, actual base salary will depend on varying circumstances and individualized factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. 

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
